Mangalore: Fishermen National Convention of West Coast from April 29 to 30

Mangalore, Apr 27: The inauguration ceremony of Fishermen National Convention (West Coast) will be held at Sanghaniketana, Mangalore on Saturday April 30, informed MLA Lalaji R Mendon at a press meet held on Wednesday April 27.

Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa will inaugurate the convention. Dr Prakash Malgave, national convenor, BJP Fishermen Committee will preside. District in-charge minister Krishna J Palemar, higher education minister Dr V S Acharya, deputy speaker N Yogish Bhat, MP Nalin Kumar, MP B S Raghavendra and Nithin Kumar, president, Karnataka fisheries development board will be the chief guests.

At the valedictory ceremony of the convention on Saturday April 30 at 12.00 pm, opposition party leader in Lokasabha Sushma Swaraj will address the gathering. BJP state president K S Eshwarappa will preside.

Programme organizers MLA Lalaji R Mendon, Ramachandra Bykampadi, P N Janardhan, welcome committee president Capt. Shreeram D Ameen, Boluru among others were present at the press meet.
