New Delhi, April 27 (IANS) A dejected Delhi Daredevils' skipper Virender Sehwag Tuesday said that the three-wicket loss to Royal Challengers Bangalore has put them under pressure to stay afloat in Indian Premier League (IPL).Daredevils are languishing at the bottom of the table with four points from their six matches.

Sehwag said the total of one hundred and sixty was a par score which the team should have defended.

"We went for too many runs in the first six overs. We came back. With the wicket of Chris Gayle and Virat Kohli and the brilliant run out of AB de Villiers by Warner, we came back. One hundred and sixty was a par score on this wicket and if we had bowled well at the end, it would have been possible. It was a good match but I am on the losing side and I am not happy," Sehwag said.

"We are now under a lot of pressure. We now need to win a couple of matches to stay in the tournament. We can still make it to the next stage."

Sehwag said they are gelling well as a team and they have the batsmen and bowlers to win matches.

"We are playing well and gelling well as a team. It is a matter of putting on a couple of wins. We have to bat, field and bowl well. A couple of dropped catches and bad fielding can undo the good work," he said.

"It is important to get a good start. If you don't get a good start, your middle order comes under pressure and it is not easy to bat under pressure. It is not that we don't have good bowlers. On days, we have defended low totals as well. But in Twenty20, even good bowlers go for runs. It is more about bowling at the right line and length so that a batman is forced to take chances."

Daredevils next play Kolkata Knight Riders at home and Sehwag said it will be tough to have his fellow Delhi team mate Gautam Gambhir as his counterpart.

"It is going to be very difficult. Gautam is a very good batsman and leader. It is difficult to play against an opposition who is doing so well. Hopefully, we will get a good track."
