Mangalore, Apr 25: Dakshina Kannada district Kannada Sahitya Parishat president, S Pradip Kumar Kalkura, through a release, stated that a public programme to pay tributes to the departed soul of Sri Sathya Sai Baba will be held at Hotel Woodlands in the city at 5 pm on Monday April 25.
Sri Vishweshateertha Swamiji of Pejavar Mutt, Sri Lakshmivarateertha Swamiji of Paryaya Shirur Mutt, Sri Kondevoor Swamiji, minister, Dr V S Acharya, Odiyoor Sri Gurudevananda Swamiji, and various other dignitaries and religious leaders from coastal Karnataka have extended their condolences. They have termed the demise of Sathya Sai Baba, who was a harbinger of social transformation, as a great loss to the society.
The city fondly recollects the service to humanity rendered by him by way of free medical treatment, water supply projects in dry areas, and other humanitarian services.
