Miss you Pa

Miss you Pa

Dad, I was attached to you when I was in the mom’s womb.
The touch and care you have provided for me till you reached the tomb.
The communications you rendered daily to identify me as your soul.
You held my hand and taught me to walk in this society as a whole.
The responsibility you have taken to lead the family in a difficult way.
I realized the essence of life through observation in a systematic way
Soldiers secure the nation with brave and courage as heroes;
But, you were taking care of the family with love like a warrior.
Dad, you raised me like an orchid flower so that I can live for a long time.
I can still remember the criticism of my inappropriate behaviour at the time.
I saw you, every day working for the family in silence,
But your advice was crucial to me, still, I value it in your absence;
Your guiding principles were excellent, for my life as well as for my soul.
I trusted you, Dad, and that same trust guided the rest of my life as a whole;
Missing you Dad, your memories have become my heartbeats,
Which means I am thinking about your emotional threats;
It pains a lot, I’d do anything to revive those memories again;
I am waiting for your unique hug in a heavenly abode for the reunion.

    Touching Poem..., I can relate to the thoughts expressed herein, nicely written Maria Bai, I can say, I was among the luckiest people to have had my dad around me and so were you, unlike many others who hardly got to see their dad's only for few days or months in a year as they would be working away from home, missing their father in the childhood. Times have changed now, with easy connectivity – Internet, one can speak audio/video calls from any part of the world, also affordable means of transport Bus, Rail or Airways. Keep writing, looking forward to your next one.

    Super remembering Dads .very nice.Girls are more attached to dads and vice versa.Its nature.WE do remember our mother mostly ,but less father.Of course dads deeds are in silence not loud but good.I was hardly attached to papa becuase he was in Bombay most of the time.That time Bombay was like living in foreign.travelling too was difficult.But papa remains Papa.looking forwards for your further articles.
