The 'James' We Girls were 'Bond' to Love

The 'James' We Girls were 'Bond' to Love

Double Oh Seven please do stay – I cried out in my sleep
Alarm bells interrupting, distracting with a beep
For MI6 had plans for us and we were on the move
Despite unfinished business which M would disapprove

Now Kristatos was at our heel and so was Dr. No
While Bond fell for Elektra King and eyed Pussy Galore
Let’s die another day I said for Diamonds are forever
With Oddjob aiming hats at us, our heads he tried to sever

A view to kill I think it was as we emerged unscathed
The James we girls were ‘Bond’ to love was always well-behaved
He liked them “shaken not stirred” during those moonlit trysts
The spy who loved me couldn’t complain his lips had not been kissed

With hi-tech gadgets we possessed designed by none but Q
Concealed in tiny objects they came to our rescue
Goldeneye had met his match and so had Thunderball
And Scaramanga said Goodbye perhaps not from skyfall

We beat the Living daylights with our licence to kill
For Moonraker was conquered against his very will
Goldfinger and Nick Nack said tomorrow never dies
Despite Quantums of solace there always is surprise

The world is not enough he said, you can’t tell friend from foe
Tee Hee would agree with me but not Steve Obanno
Casino Royale dealt out chips to traitors in the midst
With Honey Ryder from the waves my Bond was soon transfixed

While Octopussy did betray some femme fatales had not
From Russia they did come with love and some villains were caught
Though you can live and let die like an unwitting pawn
From her majesty’s service some cannot be withdrawn

The man who had the golden gun had much well-meant advice
Caution always should reign for You only can live twice
Don’t ever say - never again for maybe time will tell
Though in his Aston Martin I never can rebel

My lovely dreams abandoned – I heard my Grandma’s voice
Wake up girl – you’re late to school – I jumped and had no choice
But dreams are free and when it’s time for me to go to bed
I’ll dream of me and James Bond in the chapel while we wed

It must have been in Regal when I set eyes on him
My heart, it did a somersault when all the lights were dim
From Connery to Danny Craig I’ve watched him as he morphed
While I turned into putty and my head got kinda soft.

Sean, George, Roger, Tim, Pierce, Daniel and David
These guys made Bond immortal indeed,
But behold, we have our own answer to Bond for sure,
It’s none other than Kanth, Rajinikanth saar.

If Sir Thomas Sean Connery had his way , the next Bond movie would be

    " From Auckland With Love"

    Another master piece Anita !

Well penned, Anita! I can actually imagine belting it out to the tune of Tina Turners - Golden Eye.
