Mangalore: Coastal Karnataka Gets Widespread Rain

Mangalore, Apr 20: The city and various places across coastal Karnataka received rain coupled with thunder and lightning on the night of Tuesday April 19. The rain cooled the temperature by a few degrees.

The rainfall as well lightning were intense in Sullia, Subrahmanya, Puttur, UIppinangady, Bantwal and surrounding areas. The city, Suratkal, Bajpe and Moodbidri got good showers. Because of improper drainage, water was found clogged on several roads. On Wednesday April 20 morning too, cloudy weather welcomed the citizens of the coast.

Many places in Udupi district received light showers on Monday night and again on Tuesday morning. Several regions in Karkala taluk received good rains on Tuesday.
