Udupi: Minister Mullappalli Ramachandra Visits Vishvanath Temple, Katpady

Udupi, Apr 19: Union home minister of state Mullappalli Ramachandra along with his wife paid a visit
to Vishvanath Temple, Katpady, on Sunday April 17. The shrine is the second famous worship centre of
the Billava community in the district.

The minister offered ‘puja’ to the temple deity Lord Vishvanath.

Speaking on the occasion, Ramachandra said that social progress will be achieved if everyone follows
the teachings of Brahmashree Narayan Guru.

Sri Kshetra Vishvanath managing committee honorary president Jaya C Suvarna and honorary chief
secretary Harischandra Amin felicitated the minister and his wife.

AICC secretary Vinay Kumar Sorake, temple committee vice-president Raghu Kotian, treasurer Madhav
Anchan, joint treasurer Kishore Kumar, joint secretaries Indushekar Suvarna and Divakar Sanil, former
minister Vasant V Salian, Seva Dal commandant Ramesh Kotian, women’s wing convener Sulochana
Palan, temple committee former president Dayanand Bangera, former secretary Jagannat Kote,
entrepreneur Prakash Kodavoor, H R Poojary, H T Poojary, Srikar Suvarna, Naveen Amin, Jayashankar
Kutpady, other temple committee office-bearers, as well as representatives of various social welfare and
voluntary organizations were present.
