Bangalore, Apr 18 (PTI): About 2450 SSLC students of Mysore district whose Hindi answer scripts were destroyed in a fire last week, will reappear for the exam on April 27.
Speaking to reporters here, Minister for Primary and Secondary Education Vishweshwara Hegde Kageri said the re-exam would be held in 14 centres.Arrangements are being made to send hall tickets to them, he said.
Sixteen of the 28 bundles of answer scrips stored in a building in Shimoga were burnt last week in a fire caused by sparks triggerred during welding in a building. However, 12 bundles of answer scrips were not affected. The government has already suspended an Educational Officer in connection with the incident.
The results of the SSLC exam will be announced before May 15, as announced earleir, he said.
