Mangalore, Apr 11: “If everyone firmly develops a spiritual mindset that the Lord is omnipresent, such people can never indulge in corruption,” felt Sri Vishweshateertha Swamiji of Pejavar Mutt. He was delivering benedictory address at the spiritual awakening campaign organized as part of the 50th birth anniversary celebrations of Odiyoor Sri Gurudevananda Swamiji. The programme was organized at Pumpwell Ground in the city on Sunday April 10.
“Irrespective what work or profession you are involved with, always have a feeling that you serving Lord through your work. If such a feeling permeates through you, you cannot get involved with selfishness. Odiyoor Swamiji has been engaged in spreading this feeling among the masses,” he added.
Odiyoor Swamiji said that it is possible to root out corruption from our lives, if the officials and those who govern the country and states, imbibe spirituality.
Sri Ramananda Swamiji of Kolya, Srimatanandamayee of Odiyoor, Sri Kalahastendra Saraswati Swamiji of Anegundi Samsthan Katapadi, Sri Mohandasa Swamiji of Manila, Sri Rajashekharananda Swamiji of Vajradehi Mutt, Sri Esha Vittaladasa Swamiji of Kemar, Sri Yogananda Saraswati Swamiji of Kondevoor, Sri Muktananda Swamiji from Karinje, and spiritual thinker, Vidwan V B Hiranya, delivered messages on the occasion.
Mangalore regional president of Gurudeva Seva Balaga, Jayant K Kotian, corporator, Nagendra Kumar, and Bhaskarachandra Shetty, were present. Adhyatma Jagruti Abhiyana Swamiti convener, T Taranath Kottary, welcomed. H K Purushottam proposed vote of thanks. Ramachandra Rao presented the programme.
On this occasion, visit of Odiyoor Swamiji to Kudkorigudde Apekshita Colony, procession of ‘spiritual chariot’ from Kankanady Maidan, and dance drama on ‘Geetopadesha’ by Vidushi Sharada Manishekhar and her troupe from Sanatana Natyalaya, had been organized.
