Bengaluru, Aug 8: Large and Medium Industries Minister Murugesh R Nirani, who is leading a delegation of key officials to Tokyo, met the top bosses of Toyota Motor, Suzuki Motor, Mitusi and Mercari Companies in Japan and requested them to make additional investments in Karnataka.
The minister, who is accompanied by State’s Commissioner for Industries Gunjan Krishna, gave a detailed presentations explaining the various investment opportunities and facilities available in the State.
Nirani’s meeting with Suzuki Motor Corporation was attended by Hidaki Taguchi, General Manager India Automobile Department; Kenji Saito, Director & Senior Managing Officer and Kazuhiro Hattori Assistant Manager Public Affairs Group.
He also invited the Japanese Company top executives to participate in the forthcoming Global Investers Meet (GIM) in Bengaluru on November 2, 3 and 4.
Ms Saori Tsuchiya, General Manager, Global External Affairs Department and MsTakaka Kubo Group Manager of Toyota Motor Corporation were given a presentation on the industry friendly policies in Karnataka and make additional investments in the State.
During the visit to Mitsui Company, Syed Faisal Ashraf, Managing Director and Yu Deputy Managing Director of Mitsui were present, and Nirani invited the Mitsui Group Chairman to attend the GIM, while the Mercari Group CTO Ken Wakasa, Junichi Wozaki, Board Director, Mercari and Manoj Singh Negi, First Secretary (Commerce), Embassy of India were present in the interaction with Nirani.
