Mangalore, April 8: Veteran Congress leader Janardan Poojary has posed a new challenge to Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa that whether he is ready to resign from politics if his party loses even one constituency in the upcoming by-poll election. He threw this new challenge on the table after his previous challenge of resigning from politics if BJP wins all 3 constituencies went unheeded by CM.

At a press conference held on Friday April 8, Poojary called CM Yeddyurappa as a killer of democracy and alleged that even after the code of conduct is active, he and his party has been engaged in violating election norms. He also came down on state election commission for opting silence on BJP. He pointed out that CM has given Rs 103 crore for 172 temple in Davanegere alone. He complained that BJP has invented another way of cheap politics by threatening the voters that their constituency will not be developed if they do not vote for BJP.

Coming down on Operation Lotus, he said that with that the CM dwindled the power of opposition party.

When asked about his support for Anna Hazare’s fasting, he said Hazare could have postponed this harsh decision of going for fasting, as the UPA government is about to call a meeting to sort out the issues of corruption. He also pointed out that Patil Puttappa who is supporting Anna Hazare now, did not raise his voice against Yeddyurappa’s corruption in the state.

Mr. Janardhan Poojary's challenges should not be taken seriously. It is not the first time he throws challenges to the opposition parties. He makes the challenges and goes into his shells and come back after some months in a slumber because he has no work presently.

He won't quit even if his party would lose any number of elections or many more corruption cases are filed against him. The Law of the land at present always is favourable to criminals who have money power.
This man has no sense of morality to resign now that even High Command couldn't make him resign at its own peril. They are playing politics in supporting Anna Hazare's Anti corruption fast on one hand while letting their own corrupt to continue in power. That's why BJP too has become Brashta Janara Party of-late.

Poojari is a man of double standards. He always backs contractors in the name of development. There are many contractors got benifited from him under SEZ. He c-owns restaurants and commercial complexes in the heart of city. It would not have been possible,if he was a clean politician.
