Mangalore: Congress Aims at One Lac Membership in District

Mangalore, Apr 7: Dakshina Kannada district Congress president, B Ramanath Rai, said at a press conference held here on Wednesday April 6, that the membership campaign of the party, which is in progress in the district, aims at enrolling one lac new members.

He said that the Congress leaders and workers from the party will work for the victory of the United Front candidates in Kerala. “Our people will get involved with electioneering work in constituencies like Manjeshwar, Uduma, Kasargod and Trikkaripura. We will also try to ensure that the BJP will draw a blank in Kerla this time too,” he added.

New Delhi Youth Congress general secretary, Abu Sharma, who is on a visit of the district as an observer for the membership campaign of the party, MLA, U T Khader, All India Congress Committee member, P V Mohan, KPCC general secretary, Badruddin, former MLC, B Ibrahim, and others were present at the press conference.
