Moodbidri, Aug 3: A private bus with more than 30 passengers onboard toppled on Wednesday August 3 morning at Banadka on the Karkala-Moodbidri national highway causing minor injuries to many.
The bus driver lost control over the vehicle while trying to avoid a collision with an auto rickshaw.
The bus driver suffered an injury on his waist and the bus passengers suffered minor injuries. Locals say no passenger was seriously injured in the accident.
The bus had students numbering more than 30 of them travelling from Mangaluru to Kalasa. The bus departed from Mangaluru early in the morning. An auto rickshaw came on the way of the bus in Banadka and the driver lost control in trying to avoid a collision resulting in the bus toppling over. A bus passenger said the driver moved to one side of the road to avoid an accident but the vehicle got toppled.
