Mangalore: Prof Arunachalam Kumar’s Book on Biomedical Writing Set for Release

Mangalore, Apr 5: A one-source reference book on medical research writing, authored by Prof Arunachalam Kumar, dean, faculty of medicine, Nitte University, is slated to be released at 11.30 am on Wednesday April 6, at a function to be held at the seminar hall of K S Hegde Medical Academy Charitable Hospital at Deralakatte near here.

The book titled ‘Biomedical Writing’ is meant for the postgraduate students and junior faculty members of medical and dental professional colleges and hospitals. This book has been recommended as a must-read for young medicos, by Nitte University vice chancellor, Dr Shantharam Shetty, especially as statutory bodies like Medical Council of India and Dental Council of India have mandated that research papers are henceforth compulsory for professionals in teaching institutes.

The author of this new book already has six books and 250 research publications and paper presentations to his credit. Dr Kumar has also received a number of awards and recognitions. The above book is sponsored through a grant received from Nitte University. It will be available for sale from Wednesday April 6 onwards.
