M'lore: Accident at KPT Junction Takes Away Student Amrit Mendonca’s Life

Daijiworld Media Network – Mangalore (SP)

Mangalore, Apr 4: Amrit Mendonca (24), a college student from Kinnigoli in the district, lost his life in an accident that occurred at the KPT Junction in Kadri in the city on Sunday April 3 afternoon.

The ill-fated youth was travelling on the pillion of a motor cycle at the time of the accident.

Amrit was travelling as the pillion rider of a motor cycle driven by his friend, Sandeep. The two-wheeler they were in, was moving towards Kuntikan from KPT Junction.

Reportedly, the Kinetic vehicle moving in front of this motor cycle unexpectedly turned to the right. Sandeep was taken unawares, and the vehicle he was driving, hit the Kinetic from behind. Amrit, jolted by this sudden turn of events, fell to the road, and the wheels of a truck coming from the behind crushed his head in an instant.

Amrit breathed his last on the spot. The Kinetic rider escaped from the scene, without even stopping his vehicle. Sandeep escaped with minor nicks and cuts.

A case was registered in traffic (east) police station here.

Well This things always have to happen, sadly this time the guy dies for no fault of his well traffic police just bark when there is a too much road block and sleep when this type of carelessness happens, i seen these jerks move with no signals or overtake on left. Well its time for traffic police to awake and not just bark at footboard travellers or just wait for month end to collect fines at junctions of mangalore

Amrith we miss you a lot but you will be in our hearts for ever. My memories go back to SVD House kirem where we used to spend time together in the games filed. As a small boy he used to play an excellent cricket, jovial and loved by every one. In his early childhood days he spent a lot of time with SVD brothers at Kirem after his school hours. His short stay in this passing world has won the hearts of many. Therfore, demise of Amrith is a painful event for all of us.

May God grant him eteranl rest.

Heartfelt condolences to family members of Amrit. Though we never met most of the times, I do remember the days when you both brothers were young kids, and the very recent meeting of ours when you accepted my invitation of being my bestman...... as i learned from that very moment... you were very soft spoken, gentle in mind, good in heart, easy to mingle with, good listner and very generous....... its hard to believe dear cousin bro... a tragic accident took away from all of us.... though hearts doesnt agree to believe.... the facts forced us to accept the truth that you are no more with us..... May the Almighty give courage to the family members to accept the loss of yours and May Almighty bless you with eternal life.... May your soul rest in peace..... hear we bid you a heavy heart farewell dear cousin Amrit......

Dear family members of Amrith heart felt sympathies on the loss of your loved one....i know the boy as he was employed at "PROVIDENCE BUILDERS" Bejai....It was a real shock to know on Sunday eve that Amrith died on spot in a road accident. I use to see him so many times in a day attending his various jobs as my office is opposite to his. Quiet, soft spoken and well behaved. He was well known for his pair of red trendy shoes and it was heart melting when his boss Mr. Benette Menezes told me on Monday....on receiving the information i just could not believe and went personally to wenlock hospital to confirm what i heard was true and what did i see the whole body was covered with a white cloth but his red shoes....I cant express what i felt when i spotted the red shoes on his feet....he said. May GOD grant him eternal rest. Rest in Peace AMRITH.

We are loosing many lives in town like this due to poor road conditions and negligence of drivers. Police should take serious efficient action against Kinetic rider. We have lost a young life in this accident. And its a fact that traffic police are failed in creating awareness about maintaining lane manners and use of indicators which are basics of driving. Until then we have to see citizens life loosing? This should not be repeated..
