Kundapur, Mar 30: Jagadish Hebbar (44), field officer of Agrigold Company, who was moving on the state highway in his motor bike, was killed on Tuesday March 29, after an antelope that was crossing the road jumped on him accidentally.
Hebbar was covering the state highway stretch between Ampar and Kundapur, when an antelope, which was in a hurry to cross the road, suddenly leapt on his motor bike near Boralgudde. As the horns of the antelope dug deep into his neck in the incident, he bled profusely and died on the spot. Reportedly, he had visited Ampar for office work.
Hebbar, a native of Manur near Kota, is survived by wife and daughter. He was working as a senior grade officer in Kundapur office of the said company.
Kundapur assistant forest officer, Sadanand, MLC, K Pratapchandra Shetty, taluk panchayat member, Pradipkumar Shetty, gram panchayat president, Santoshkumar Shetty, and several other dignitaries visited the spot. A case was registered in Shankaranarayana police station about the incident.
