Udupi: Stolen Ornaments Found by Family in Katpady

Udupi, Mar 29: The gold ornaments, which were stolen by unidentified thieves from a house in Ambady, Kote village, Katpady near here on Saturday March 26, were recovered on Monday March 28 from near the house in question.

The thieves had taken away gold ornaments worth Rs 1.6 lac, bank passbooks, mobile phone, and Rs 700 in cash. All these items except cash were found in a plastic bag that was thrown near the said house. The incident, which occurred at a time when the policemen are investigating the theft case, gave rise to some suspicions.

The family however said that they got their assets back due to divine intervention, because of devotion they have towards certain gods and goddesses.
