Bantwal: Yuvamahotsav – One-day Youth Fest at Modankap

Bantwal, Mar 25: ‘Yuvamahothsav,’ a one-day youth fest, was held at Infant Jesus Church, Modankap here, on the occasion of the ‘International Youth Year’, recently.
 
The fest was inaugurated by Fr Anil D’souza, youth director, Mangalore diocese. Fr D’Souza also celebrated a special Sunday mass for the youngsters present at the programme.

Resource person for the day, Dr Savitha Pereira, then conducted an activity-bared session on ‘youth and spirituality - sociology – physiology’. All the youth present there, were involved in the activity and gained lot of tips for making their lives more meaningful and happier.



The entire day was fun-filled as well as joyful for every participant. A number of competitions were organized like college, fashion show, treasure haunt, and most popular of them all, tug-of-war.

Fr Vincent Coelho -Varado  youth director, Fr Roque  D’souza, parish priest, Fr Ivan D’souza, assistant parish priest, Herald D’souza, and Francis Saldanha, vice president and secretary respectively of the parish council, and Sr Naveena were present at the valedictory ceremony.

On this occasion, all the past and present youth presidents were facilitated, in recognition of their good work and service.

The whole day’s programmes were organized and conducted by Sunil Lewis, young articulator, with the help of Fr Ivan, Denis Tauro, Sharath Menezes, Sr Naveena, and Vinitha Carlo. 80 young and enthusiastic youth made this programme a memorable one.
