Mangalore: Prof G V Joshi Reappointed Member of Planning Board

Mangalore, Mar 25: Professor in the department of economics, Justice K S Hegde Institute of Management, Nitte, Prof G V Joshi, has been reappointed as the member of Karnataka State Planning Board. The board was reconstituted recently, and Prof Joshi will represent Coastal Karnataka there. Joshi had also served the board in the past, after being appointed in 2008.

Joshi had recently been chosen as visiting professor for Makerere University Business School in Uganda. He will be delivering guiding lectures towards securing PhD degrees there.

Joshi, who worked for 26 years as economics professor in Mangalore University, also worked as the convener of Corporation Bank’s study chair there. 55 of his articles have been published in various economic journals so far.
