Mangalore: Sahodaya Bethany Seva Kendra Holds Symposium on Euthanasia

Mangalore, Mar 23:  A symposium on Euthanasia was organized at Sahodaya Bethany Seva Kendra, Bendoor here on Wednesday March 23.


Sr Mariette BS, provincial superior and president, Shubhada Society, Suralpady welcomed the gathering. Sr M Wilberta BS, superior general, Bethany congregation delivered the opening address. She said that the life which exists cannot be ended by anyone. To live and let live is the principle in the constitution that should be continued, she added.

Professor Rita Noronha, Roshni Nilaya, College of Social Work was the moderator. Dr Prabhadikari, professor of medicine, Kasturba Medical College delivered the keynote address. 

Sr Assumpta BS, general co-ordinator of Pastoral and Socio-medical Apostolate proposed the vote of thanks.

    Kudos to the organizers! Its time that public opinion is mobilized on such issues. A parallel issue is also 'Organ Donation'. it would have been good if interested public were also informed and attended.Thanks.
