Mangalore: State level Conference Edify 2011 Commences

Mangalore, Mar 19: The state level conference Edify – 2011 organized by the Sri Devi Institute of Social Work at Seminar Hall of the college was inaugurated on Saturday March 19.

The theme of the  conference which will end on Sunday March 20 is ‘Building, Sustaining and Accelerating Growth through Talent in the Next Decade – Role of H R’.

Mathew C Ninan, principal, Little Rock School, Brahmavar was the chief guest.

Delivering his inaugural address he said that talent alone will not open the doors, but sturdy action that does. He called upon the students to consider mistakes as their best friends and said failures are also one of the qualifications to be a successful person in future. Always winning person may lack the ability to tackle any uncertainty of future or failure, he said.

He added that this giant step taken up the college administration through arranging state level conference will boost confidence level which is inevitable in the competitive world.

P A Jose, DGM of MRPL was the guest of honor. Sadanand Shetty, chairman, Shree Devi Education Trust presided. Sadashiva, department of social work, welcomed the gathering. Student actively participated in the conference by turning up in large numbers.
