Kundapur, Mar 19: Guruprasad Shetty (30), son of Karunakar Shetty, headmaster of Kollur Sri Mookambika High School in the taluk, breathed his last in a road accident that occurred during the early hours on Friday March 18.
The accident occurred at Bengre Mavinakatte near Bhatkal on national highway 17, after the car Guruprasad was driving, rammed into a stationary truck. Reportedly, Shetty, working as civil engineer in RNS Grooup, Murdeshwar, had begun his journey from Kollur to his place of work, late night on Thursday from Kollur.
Murdeshwar sub-inspector of police, Sundaresh, and other personnel rushed to the spot and undertook relief operations. After the post mortem was completed, the body was taken by the family members back to Kollur.
