Bengaluru, June 24: JD(S) legislative party leader and former Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy on Thursday made it clear that he has no soft corner towards former Congress Chief Rahul Gandhi or the Congress party but has only spoken the truth.
“I criticised the continuous interrogation of Rahul Gandhi for 5 days by the Enforcement Directorate and condemned the BJP’s attempts to topple the duly elected Uddhav Thackeray government in Maharashtra through its ‘Operation Kamala’ just as the BJP had brought down his coalition government with Congress,’’ he said while speaking to media persons in Channapatna on Thursday.
The JD(S) leader asserted that he is not interested in appeasing the Congress leaders or Rahul Gandhi. “I merely spoke on how BJP is misusing Central investigative agencies. I am not interested in currying favours from anybody,’’ he declared.
He, however, continued his tirade against the BJP for trying to unseat the Maha Vikas Agadi coalition rule of Shiv Sena with Congress and NCP. ``The BJP leaders are claiming and behaving as if they have nothing to do with the political games in Maharashtra. But all of us know their game plan,’’ he said mentioning that non-BJP governments are not safe despite having clear majority,
Kumaraswamy said even if the BJP succeeds in bringing down the Uddhav Thackeray government and installing its own government by propping up rebel Shiv Sena leader Eknath Shinde. ``Ultimately, it is the people who decide and everybody knows who formed and built the Sena,’’ he said.
