Goa police looking out for minor child in robbery case

Panaji, Jun 8 (IANS): Goa police are looking out for a minor child, believed to be below 7 years, who allegedly committed theft in port town of Vasco in South Goa.

Police said that they have collected the CCTV footage of the incident, wherein a minor child is seen near the cash counter of the shop from where the robbery has been reported.

Sources said that posing as customers, a group of women along with two minor children on Tuesday allegedly robbed cash Rs 20,000 from the counter of a pet shop in Vasco.

"We are trying to identify the child through CCTV footage. It is not clear whether the child was accompanied with others," police told IANS.

Sources said that after entering the shop, women from one group kept the salesman busy in bargaining and on the other side the minor child committed the theft.

Police are yet to register a case.
