New Delhi, Jun 8: Following the spur over offensive remarks by the BJP leaders over Prophet Mohammad, Qatar publicly rebuked India to have committed such an action and told Indian envoy Deepak Mittal that such remarks could lead to ‘prejudice and marginalization, which would create a cycle of violence and hate’.
In response to this, few extremely creative Indians have initiated a new backlash, and the netizens can’t keep calm. The #BoycottQatarAirways is emerging as one amicable retaliation from the opposing Indians. It is hilarious as seen from the various responses received on twitter. A parody video has emerged with a laughable reaction from the Qatar Airways CEO on the boycott call.
"I am against Qatar Airways," Vashudev said adding that Qatar has already started laying off Indian people. "Boycott Qatar Airways because we should take a tit-for-tat move," said a Twitter user Vasudev who posted a video calling for the boycott of Qatar Airways in response to Qatar's condemnation.
The Qatar Airways CEO, in an interview asked Vasudev, the initiator of this action to take back his call and in exchange, the CEO would offer him equalling things.
“Because our biggest shareholder Vashudev decided to boycott our airline from his headquarters which is the terrace of his house. He was having a power cut at that time in his neighbourhood. And he made that devastating video. Vashudev is our biggest shareholder with a total investment of 634 rupees and 50 paise. And we don't know how to operate anymore and we have grounded all the flights... we are requesting Vashudev to take this call for boycott back. Vashudev habibi, we are willing to give you one whole plane to make your TikTok videos or maybe we can give you two litres of petrol free. Or else how our multi-billion business survive. Once you come back from the railway track, please consider our offer and take the boycott back," the CEO in the doctored video made for fun said.
Reponses flooded on twitter in regard of this issue. “People who have never bought a plane ticket in their life are writing on twitter”, was one of the humorous tweets that received much attention.
It may be recalled, Nupur Sharma had made the comment on Prophet Mohammed earlier last week during a TV debate, while Naveen Jindal posted a tweet about the prophet, which he afterwards deleted. As a stern action, the BJP has suspended Nupur Sharma while Naveen Jindal has been expelled from the party. The party said that it rightly opposes any ideology which insults or demeans any sect or religion and does not promote such people or philosophy.
