Panaji, Jun 5 (IANS): Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Sunday said that the state government will observe the situation of COVID-19 cases for next 10 to 15 days and accordingly will decide about taking further steps.
"Tomorrow (Monday) schools will reopen, however we will monitor the situation and take required steps," he said.
On Saturday, there were 36 new cases, while on Sunday 41 new cases were detected. The number of active cases has reached 262. Over the last few days, cases are increasing in the state.
Director of the state Health Services department, has said that no new mutation of the Covid virus was traced in the state, amid a surge in cases over a couple of days.
