Mumbai, Feb 25: Metro-based Seva Bharati organized ‘Sangha Bharati’ as their fourth series of programmes on the occasion of their silver jubilee celebrations at Bunts Center’s Soumyalata Sadanand Shetty Auditorium here, recently.
Padmabhushan Dr B M Hegde inaugurated the programme. Supreme Court retired judge Justice B N Srikrishna was the chief guest on the occasion.
Mogaveer Mandal president Ajith M Suvarna, Bunts Sangh presidnet Aikala Harish Shetty, Billavar Association vice-president M B Kukyan, BSKB Association president Dr Suresh S Rao Kateel, and Karnataka Sangh president Dr G D Joshi were the guests of honour.
Retired Justice Srikrishna, in his inaugural address, said that unity is strength and Seva Bharati that represents the unified efforts of common folks in order to create a corruption-free society.
Padmabhushan Dr Hegde said that any social welfare organizations should strive for communal harmony in the society.
Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Education Society secretary Dr Yasho Varma released ‘Tuluvara Darshana’, a book that has glimpses of the Vishwa Tulu Sammelan held in Ujire of Beltangady taluk in Dakshina Kannada district in 2009.
Pavan Madhusudan rendered prayers. Seva Bharati president Jaya K Shetty welcomed the gathering. Presidnet Nithyanand D Kotian compered the programme and honorary secretary Bhaskar Shetty proposed the vote of thanks.
