Hubballi, May 15: Though BJP is in great spirits to take over the reins in the coming assembly elections, it is said that the internal survey conducted by the party has given a big jolt to the state leaders of the party.
It is learnt that it is difficult to reach mission-150 target given by Amit Shah during his recent visit to the state.
Controversial statements of state BJP leaders, questioning the leadership of the party, continuous exercise of restructuring or expansion of state cabinet, no faith on migrants who have joined BJP from Congress and JD (S), suicide by government contractor, accusation by the contractors’ association of 40% commission in all government related works, PSI recruitment scam, assistant lecturer recruitment scam, chaos on religious beliefs and traditions, price rise, confusion among cabinet ministers etc have said to have affected the stature of the party badly in the eyes of the public.
It is said that the party high command is going to use the same model that was used in Uttar Pradesh elections of giving opportunity to new faces and youngsters who are loyal to RSS in at least 100 constituencies. Only time will tell whether these steps will bring back the image lost by the party due to the various mentioned factors.
