Ajman,Feb 20: Temos GmbH, a German based organization which specializes in quality assessment and certification of hospitals & dental clinics worldwide certified GMC Super Specialty Dental Centre as a member of the International Temos Network. GMC Super Specialty Dental Centre, a section of GMC Hospital based in Ajman, UAE, owned and run by the THUMBAY group is the first hospital in the Middle East to receive the prestigious Certification.
Temos GmbH offers the Seal of Quality for internationally oriented hospitals & dental clinics. Its services are based on the international standard ISO / IEC 17020 and have been developed in cooperation with leading (travel health) insurances and assistances worldwide, with experts in quality management and representatives from research - from the market for the market.
After a self evaluation in terms of a questionnaire by Temos experts – always a team of an internationally experienced medical doctor and a quality management expert do an onsite inspection of the hospital. Based on professional judgment and together with the management, ways and options for optimized care and services are discussed and realized. Hospitals meeting the requisite criteria/demands set by Temos GmbH and passing the process obtain the Temos Certificate, the Seal of Quality for high quality medical services for international patients.
Temos GmbH aims to offer those who commission dental services as well as the public, an objective means of being assured of the general quality of certain services. They evaluate a vast range of modalities of a hospital’s activities and governance, including management, equipment, clinical audit, research, training, and education, as well as clinical/medical activity. When the hospital or service meets or exceeds the criteria, three years’ full certification is awarded.
An evaluation and assessment procedure took place to determine the level of quality for its dental and non-medical services for international patients including the field of quality management and research via Gulf Medical University. The evaluation/assessment was carried out on December 04, 2010 by the Temos team comprising of Dr Claudia Mika (Managing Director and leading assessor), Dr Marco Gaebler, and Prof Dr Rupert Gerzer.
Temos GmbH final assessment report states that GMC Super Specialty Dental Centre has shown an interest to join the Temos network as a partner dental clinic. In conclusion Temos emphasized that GMC Super Specialty Dental Centre is very well managed and fulfils the Temos pre-requisites. It also went on record to say that they have experienced a very well managed dental clinic with highly motivated and experienced staff, kind hospitality, excellent facilities and a high level of quality in dental treatment, technical equipment, nursing and research due to the close proximity to Gulf Medical University.
