Mumbai: Celebrations of Brahma Kalashotsava second day held by BSKBA trust

Mumbai, May 11: Seer Sugunendra Theertha Sripada of Udupi Puthige mutt addressed the second day’s celebrations of Gokula Brahma Kalashotsava held by BSKBA Gopalakrishna trust at Gokula auditorium, Sion east on Monday, May 9.

Guests of honour, head of Iskcon Juhu Mumbai, Guru Gaurangdas Swamiji and president of Shanmukhananda Fine Arts and Music, Dr V Shanker spoke on the occasion.

Senior priest of Gokula, Vidwan Vedamurthi Edapadav Muralidhara Tantri and Krishnaraj Upadyaya performed poojas, rituals and distributed theertha prasada. Bhajana Mandalis conducted Bhajans.

Vinuta Acharya and Vidhya Tantri conducted a programme of devotional music, children from Kalajagathu Chinnara Bimba performed a cultural dance programme, Priyanjali Rao performed Bharata Natyam and Harshada Jambekar performed Kathak dances. Sahana School of performing arts performed a dance skit created and directed by Sahana Bharadwaj. Ladies wing president I K Prema S Rao and Smitha Bhat conducted a cultural programme.

Secretary A P K Pothi, B Ramananda Rao, Sudhir R L Shetty, Sahana A Pothi, K Subbanna Rao, Dr Surendra Kumar Hegde, other office bearers and several members took part in religious and cultural programmes.

Shamala Shastri sang a prayer. BSKBA association vice president Vaman Holla welcomed. Navaneeta Rao introduced the guests. BSKBA association and Gopalakrishna Public Trust president Dr Suresh S Rao Kateel and BSKBA vice president Shailini Rao presented flower bouquets to the guests and honoured them. Treasurer, CA Haridas Bhat compered the programme and rendered a vote of thanks.
