Bengaluru, Apr 29: Union Human Resources Minister Dharmendra Pradhan released the National Educational Curriculum Framework (NECF) mandatory guidelines handbook at the Indian Institute of Science on Friday, April 29.
Higher Education Minister Dr C N Ashwath Narayan termed the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 being implemented by Karnataka first in the entire country a golden opportunity for growth and development.
The previous National Education Policies that were being implanted in the country had their own limitations. But Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visionary leadership ensured the implementation of a forward looking and modern technology based NEP, which helps the youth compete in the global scenario on an equal footing.
“There cannot be any compromise on quality education. Karnataka wants to keep its leading status and is not content with being second,’’ he said warmly appreciating the full support and cooperation extended by the Centre.
Primary and Secondary Education Minister B C Nagesh, NEP Committee Chairman Dr Kasturirangan, Anita Kanwar and Dr Dinesh were among the participants.
