Mangaluru, Apr 28: The Bible Commission organized a 3-day summer camp for the children from April 25 to 27. The camp witnessed an active participation of over 100 children.
Fr Andrew Leo D'Souza inaugurated the camp with a prayer. He encouraged the children to participate actively in the camp and make the best use of this opportunity.
The seminarians from St Joseph Seminary - Br Loywin, Br Ajay, Br Blanny, Br Roshan, and Br Glen conducted the camp.
Input sessions on Importance of Bible,Importance of Mass by Fr Ashwin Cardoza, love and friendship by Fr Rupesh Madta and influence of mass media by Fr Richard D'Souza were organised.
The Bible Commission conveyor Santhosh Misquith and Catechism coordinator Laveena Menezes took care of all the arrangements.
Members of the Catholic Sabha, ICYM, Stree Sangatan and the Catechism teachers supported enormously for the camp. The camp concluded with prize distribution.
Fr Rupesh Tauro, assistant parish priest thanked all the members and teachers who toiled zealously for the camp’s success. Fr Peter Gonsalves, principal of St Lawrence English Medium School, Steevan Noronha, secretary of parish pastoral council, were present at the inauguration.
