Bantwal, April 28: “BJP has national and cultural thinking. Its concept of ‘Vasudaivam Kutumbakam’ (family of Vasudeva) is embodied in the Kamalotsava that is being held in Bantwal for the first time in the country. It will be spread throughout the nation,” said BJP state president and Mangaluru MP Nalin Kumar Kateel. He was speaking after inaugurating the Kamalotsava held by BJP mandala at Oddoor farms in the leadership of the MLA Rajesh Naik.
“The participation of thousands of people here shows that Rajesh Naik is considered as the son of the families and leader. Oddoor is a junction of Bantwal and north block. Everybody has wealth. But the wealth in the heart is only in some. Rajesh Naik is one among them. The works that could not be completed in 70 years have been completed in four years here,” he said commending.
Bantwal BJP president Devappa Poojary who chaired the programme said that Rajesh Naik is identified as the model MLA during the last four years. “BJP is strengthened by Kamalotsava,” he said.
Minister S Angara said that BJP has come to power on the strength of Hindutva. “MLA Rajesh Naik has shown during the last four years that progress is possible by peace and harmony.”
MLA Rajesh Naik said that the programme was held with faith in party activists and it has become a success by their participation beyond expectations.
BJP district president Sudarshan said that Bantwal has become a model for the district by Kamalotsava and the district has become an example for the state.
Mangaluru north MLA Bharath Shetty conveyed his wishes. Vidhan Parishat member Pratap Simha Nayak, former MLA Padmanabha Kothari, Rukmaya Poojary, Keonics president Harikrishna Bantwal, town water supply and drainage board director Sulochana Bhat and Nomad development board president Ravindra Shetty were on the dais.
Buda president Devadas Shetty welcomed and gave an introduction. BJP chief secretary Dombayya Arala compered the programme. Chief Secretary Ravish Shetty Parkala rendered a vote of thanks.
