Mangalore, Feb 11: A free international physiotherapy workshop on ‘physiotherapy management and techniques organized by Vikas College of Physiotherapy in association with sports and fitness training federation of India (SFTFI) was held at the auditorium of Vikas College of Physiotherapy on Friday February 11.
Dr Jalaludin Akbar, oncology, Yenepoya Hospital, Mangalore, the resource person spoke on the ‘Oncology & Pain Management’. Dr Kothari, president of Indian Acupuncture Association spoke on the ‘acupuncture’, Allan Mclachlan, Queen Margaret University, Edinburg spoke on the topic ‘Musculosketal, Cardiorespiratory & Paediatric Physiotherapy’ and K Ramesh, assistant professor, Vikas College of Physiotherapy, Mangalore spoke on the ‘sports medicine’.
Arty Harjai delivered information regarding distant education and visa formalities.
Dr S Natarajan, principal, presided over the programme. J partha Sarthi Palemar, CEO, Vikas College of Physiotherapy and U T Ifthikar, president, SFTFI among others were present.
Dr Nithinchandra Kini, co-ordinator welcomed the gathering. Mukund, physiotherapy department, delivered the vote of thanks.
