Mangaluru: Customs officials seize smuggled gold in wire form worth Rs 10.25 lac

Mangaluru, Apr 24: Officials of the custom department at the international airport in the city confiscated 192.32 grams of gold that was being smuggled illegally from Dubai on April 23.

The said gold was found concealed in two wires that were kept inside a lady’s hand bag. The same was traced during checking of passengers. The value of the gold is Rs 10.25 lac. The arrested passenger had arrived from Dubai on Saturday, April 23.

    Are they stupid Dude. Just come through kochi airport man. You can walk in with 500grams on your neck and the officers will let you through.

    high inflation and unemployement is causing Indian nationals to indulge in these activities...actually customs also part of this racket...in this case may be squad ride...confiscated must be double the amount..but it is okay in corrupted countries like ours sab chalta hai....ACB police only have stolen valuable cars from police stations in mlore...tho yeh kaunsi badi baath hai..
