Mangaluru/Udupi, Apr 22: Second PU exams will begin on April 22 and go on till May 18. In total 31,308 students will write the examination in Dakshina Kannada district in 51 centres.
Out of the 31,308 students, 29,093 are regular while 1,384 are repeaters and 831 are appearing as private candidates. Boys number 15,652 and girls are 15,656. The number of students taking examination in arts, commerce and science streams is 4,329, 14,987 and 11,992 respectively.

In the district of Udupi, district administration has made elaborate arrangements for the second PU examinations to be held without any hiccups.
In total 15,272 students are writing the exams in the district of Udupi in 28 centers. Out of this 14,597 are regular, while 326 are private and 349 are repeaters.
In science stream 2,203 boys and 2,589 girls are writing the examination. While the corresponding figures for commerce and arts is 3,935 boys, 3,915 girls and 796 boys and 728 girl students respectively.
