Ballari, Apr 20: State BJP president Naveen Kumar Kateel slammed the Congress party for spreading lawlessness in the state.
He told reporters here that whenever the Congress had lost, it had created anarchy in the state.
He said Congress had created confusion in the minds of the people following the riots that broke out in DJ Halli where a local MLA's house belonging to the party had been burnt down by miscreants.
He said Congress had recently created confusion following the murder of Bajrang Dal activist Harsha adding that the party was now continuing to follow the same act in Hubballi.
Following the decimation of the Congress party in the recently concluded elections in five states, Kateel said a lot of infighting and fear of defeat had erupted within the rank and file of the party and between leader of opposition Siddaramaiah and KPCC president D K Shivakumar.
He said the Congress party has fear of losing in the next year's election that is going to be held in Karnataka which is why they are creating lawlessness in society.
Meanwhile, the party has announced constitution of three teams division-wise to fight the coming Assembly elections scheduled for next year.
Former chief minister B S Yediyurappa and central leader Arun Kumar will tour the Belagavi division while State BJP president Naveen Kumar Kateel, former chief minister Jagadish Shettar, minister V Somanna and Tejaswini Ananth Kumar will tour the Ballari division. Chief minister Basavaraj Bommai will tour the Mangaluru and Udupi divisions.
