Udupi, Feb 8: The annual feast of Stella Maris parish, Kalmady, near here, was celebrated with devotion and religious fervour on Sunday February 6.
Udyavar parish priest Fr William Martis was the main celebrant of the festal Holy Mass who celebrated along with Kalmady parish priest Fr Maxim and other clergies of the diocese.
Fr William, in his homily, said that Mother Mary is the succor of the poor and downtrodden who intercedes with Her son Jesus Christ in order to save mankind from miseries and sufferings.
Fr Maxim presented the blessed candles to the donors who contributed in organizing the annual feast. He also thanked the parish council vice-president Lewis Lobo, secretary Pricilla Alva, and other office-bearers for their support in the parish activities throughout the year.
A large number of parishioners and devotees from neighbouring parishes attended the festal Holy Mass and shared their joy on the occasion.
