Mangalore: Day-long Free Int’l Workshop on Physiotherapy at M V Shetty College

Mangalore, Feb 4:
Dr M V Shetty College of Physiotherapy in association with sports and fitness training federation of India is organizing ‘free one day international workshop’on physiotherapy for the fourth death anniversary of Haji U T Fareed, at Dr M V Shetty College of Physiotherapy, Auditorium, here on February 7.

The workshop is organized for all physiotherapists both practitioners and students in Mangalore.
 
There would be four sessions in different fields like sports, neurology, cardiology and orthopaedics, by eminent speakers from India and abroad.

International speaker Kate Randerson, senior lecturer, sports and exercise therapy, Leeds university, UK will be speaking on ‘Pitch Side Management of Sports Injuries’ and relating it to the common sports like cricket, hockey and football.

Dr A Pitchaiah, senior physiotherapist, UK will be taking a lecture on ‘Recent Rehabilitation Protocol in Management of Cardio-Pulmonary Disorders’ Dr N Shankar, consultant neurologist, Mallikatta Neuro Centre will speak on ‘Clinical Neurology’ and Dr Sudarshan Bandary, orthopaedic & arthroscopic surgeon, AJ Medical and Research Center will give a lecture on ‘Arthroscopy’.

More than 250 delegates are expected to attend the international workshop. Dr M Ramgopal Shetty, secretary of Dr M V Shetty Memorial Trust will preside over the inaugural ceremony, stated the organizing secretary Dr U T Ifthikar Ali in a press release.
