Kadaba, Apr 10: The mortal remains of a man, who was assumed to have died two months ago, was found on the hill at Boliyala of Palthadu village in the taluk. Daughter of the deceased had filed a complaint with the police suspecting two men of killing her father.
Sheshappa Poojary (76), a resident of Boliyala Mane in Palthadu village is the deceased person. His daughter Pushpavati has accused the younger brother of the deceased Sheshappa, Balakrishna Poojary (65), a resident of Boliyala Mane and his son Venugopal (28) of killing her father.
As per the details filed in the FIR, the deceased Sheshappa was an alcoholic and had left his wife and children in 1980 and was doing odd labour jobs and used to consume alcohol from his earnings. He was residing with his younger brother and the accused Balakrishna Poojary since the last one year as the bone of his right leg was fractured.
On April 8, Shubavathi, younger sister of the complainant Pushpavati called her and said that the mortal remains of a man were found on the hill of Cashewnut Development Corporation at Boliyala.
Accordingly, Pushpavati filed a complaint in Bellare police station. She has accused Balakrishna Poojary, younger brother of her deceased father and his son Venugopal of killing her father either to usurp property or due to frustration of taking care of the deceased as her father had become invalid due to the fractured right leg.
A case has been registered in Bellare police station in this connection.
