Moodbidri, Jan 27: “Communalism and terrorism have posed grave challenges to the country. Our nation has witnessed a number of frictions attributed to these two banes. There is no place for terrorism and communalism in Islam,” declared K S Hyder Darimi Mudarris Kalladka. He was speaking on the subject of ‘Taking Oath for Harmonious Coexistence for Nation’s Protection’ at the programme of human chain organized at Samaj Mandir here on Wednesday January 26. The programme was held under the aegis of the Dakshina Kannada district unit of Samastha Kerala Sunni Students Federation (SKSSF).
He expressed his resentment at the fact that a number of communalists and terrorists have been opposing the constitution’s intention to give liberty to every individual to love their own religions and also accept preaching and principles from other religions.
Abdul Jabbar Musliyar Mittabail, central committee member of Samstha Ulema Union, who inaugurated the human chain, advised Muslims to imbibe qualities of peace, harmonious coexistence and humanitarian values in their lives.
Mangalore Kazi, Twaka Ahmed Musliyar, inaugurated the rally. Dakshina Kannada district unit president of SKSSF, Bahu Abbas Darimi, presided. Sirajuddin Bappalike administered oath. Chief whip of the opposition in the assembly, K Abhayachandra Jain, released the wallposter relating to the national camp of college wing of SKSSF, while Todar Usmanul Faizi released the souvenir.
A number of dignitaries, including former zilla panchayat president, K P Sucharita Shetty, participated as chief guests.
District committee general secretary of SKSSF, V K Sadaqatulla Faizi, welcomed. Executive secretary, Sirajuddin Faizi, compered the programme. The rally taken out before the commencement of the programme, reached Swaraj Maidan, after starting at Jyoti Nagar and moving through Old Police Station, Main Road and Nishmita Circle here.
