Panaji, Mar 26: Utkrantrao Desai, PSI was kept under suspension by Shobit Saxena, SP of North Goa for dereliction of duty.
The PSI is accused of not reporting the cases to the court and showing that they are disposed. The case refers to the period between 2015 and 2017, during which time the suspended PSI had shown that he has disposed 29 cases. However, on inquiry it was found that these cases did not reach the court at all.
The result of the misdeed of the PSI resulted in delay of justice to the petitioners as there was no trail left. The suspended PSI will report to North Goa district headquarters during his suspension period.
