Kundapur, Jan 25: Mythreyi Amma who came to India from her motherland France in the year 2000 chose south India to find a ‘Guru’.
Her search landed her in Kollur. She trekked and climbed up higher to visit the 'Sarvajna Peetha’ where it is said that Sri Shankaracharya had meditated. She visited a grotto located there and asked for drinking water. Where, venerated saint of Kerala, Shree Tathata used to stay. He gave her the water and quenched her thirst. According to Mythreyi Amma that was the turning point in her life. She asserts that the water which was given by Tathata was not mere drinking water, besides it was ‘punya theertha’ which quenched her thirst for spiritual sentiments.
Mythreyi is a mother of two children. It has been a long time she took ‘Deeksha’ from Shree Tathatha. She was born in 1952. She grew up in Normendy in France. But her thirst for spirituality made her as an Indian. She says she did not have any clarity about her life until she landed up in Shree Kshetra Kollur.
Prior to this she had visited north India for about two times. She roamed on the bank of River Ganga during her visit to Varanasi in 1996. She had served many orphan children who were living in streets. Those days she also consulted many saints to find a ‘Guru’ for her.
It is interesting to study about the meeting occasion of Shree Tathatha and Mythreyi. Shree Tathatha has many followers. The true name of Tathatha is Narayana. Narayana was born at Vandithavalayam village of Palakkad district in Kerala state in the year 1942. He had left home when he was seven years old and involved in spiritual achievements. He visited many holy places in North India. After practicing meditation in ancient cave monasteries of the Himalayas for many years, he identified himself as ‘Shree Tathatha’. He is a devotee of Kollur Shree Mokambike and when he had come to Kollur in the year 1993, he was keen to build an ‘Ashrama’. But it took a long time and finally a Dharma Peeta Dhyana Kendra was built in 2006.
Later many devotees came and became his disciples. Mythreyi Amma is one among such followers. As per the direction of her Guru, Mythreyi has been promoting his philosophy through preaching them in abroad. She has also been conducting Yoga and Santsanga camps. She also opened branches in Italy, France, Jakarta and Japan and took her ‘Guru’ to France in 2007. An Ashrama of Shree Tathatha named ‘Kavi Udyana’ is also opened in abroad.
Dhyana Kendra: A dhyana Kendra which was built fours years ago in a five acres land in Kodachadri was inaugurated on January 19. This unique Dhyana Kendra which has entry from four directions is constructed as per the directions of Shree Tathatha and this structure is a special architecture. Spacious landscape inside the dhyana Kendra also accommodates number of devotees to pray.
