Bengaluru, Mar 6: Giving a big push to industrial growth, the State Government has approved 48 industrial projects worth Rs 2,062.21 crore that would generate jobs for over 6,393 persons in the state.
The 130th State Level Single Window Clearance Committee (SLSWCC) meeting held under the leadership of Murugesh R Nirani, Minister for Large and Medium Scale Industries, in Bengaluru on Saturday cleared the projects.
The committee has considered and approved 7 important large and medium size industrial projects with investment of more than Rs 50 crore.
These projects worth Rs 1275.67 crore are expected to create employment opportunities for 3181 persons in the state.
Also, at the 130th SLSWCC meeting, 40 new projects with investment of more than INR 15 crores and less than INR 50 crore were cleared.
These projects worth Rs 724.87 crore would generate jobs for 3212 people in the state.
One more project with an investment of Rs 61.67 crore was also approved.
Total 48 projects with investments of Rs 2,062.21 crore with employment potential for 6,393 people were cleared.
Prominent New Investments
• M/s Rockwell Collins India Enterprises Private Limited (Raytheon Group) – Rs.253.75 crore, Employment – 1306;
• Rs. 231.82 crore project by M/s Nithin Sai Agrotech Private Limited with employment potential for 965 persons;
• Rs.89.10 crore investment by M/s Brighflexi International Private Limited with 165 jobs;
• Rs.75 crore project by M/s Cookson India Private Limited with job creation for 85 persons;
• Rs.74.52 crore project by M/s Adcock Ingram Pharma Private Limited with employment generation for 115 people;
• Rs.61.86 crore investment by M/s Starling Chemicals Private Limited which is expected to create 84 jobs.
Dr EV Ramana Reddy, Additional Chief Secretary, Commerce and Industry, Gunjan Krishna, N Shivashankara, Chief Executive Officer, KIADB, Doddabasavaraj, Mangaing Director, Karnataka Udyog Mitra and others attended the 130th SLSWCC meeting.
