Washington, Jan 7 (DPA) Two explosions were reported Thursday at different buildings operated by the Maryland state government, and some injuries were possible, a local radio station reported.
The bombs were apparently contained in packages. A reporter from the Capital Newspaper in the state capital Annapolis told CNN that it was possible a mailroom worker had been injured when he opened the package.
The Jeffrey building where one of the explosions occurred houses staff of the Maryland governor and the local offices of the Department of Homeland Security. It is across the street from where the Maryland legislature meets.
The second explosion occurred in Hanover, Maryland, at the Maryland Department of Transportation building, radio WTOP reported.
