Moodbidri, Dec 27: The Konkani mega play on the life of St John Marie Vianney called as Kumsaracho Apostle San Juvaavn Marie Vianney was staged at Taccode on Easter Sunday April 4, 2010 on the occasion of ‘Year of Priests’. The konkani play was written and directed by Dr Mark Castelino on three drama stages with more than 75 artists ranging from the age of 3 and 70. The play was also staged for the second time at Ajekar Church ground on May 9, 2010 again to mark ‘Year of Priests’.

Hence the DVD of the play was inaugurated by the three-year-old, the youngest actress in the drama Shanola Crasta at Taccode here at end of the Christmas vigil mass.

This mega drama in Konkani language depicts the life of St John Marie Vianney. The parish Church of Ars was filled with not more than 50 people on Sundays. The parish of Ars in France was filled with cabaret centre and alcoholic centre with no respect to God and to the neighbour. But the constant dedicated and planned pastoral work of the parish priest Fr John Marie Vianney turned the cabaret and alcoholics centre into a pilgrimage centre. As a result everyday 400 to 500 people began to visit Ars everyday.
