Udupi, Dec 26: Pejawar seer Vishweshateertha Swamiji on Saturday December 25 said his name had been unnecessarily dragged into the controversy surrounding corporate lobbyist Nira Radia.

Reacting to media reports of his name being associated with Radia, seer clarified that he was introduced to Radia by his disciples and not by any political party. Further, he said that he did not introduce Radia to the then civil aviation minister Ananth Kumar.

Seer said that his land at Vasant Kunj in Delhi is not in anyway connected to Radia's trust, but belongs to the Rama Vittala Shikshana Seva Samiti, which is a registered society of which he is president. The lands were given to the society, when late P V Narasimha Rao was the Prime Minister and later when H D Deve Gowda was the Prime Minister.
