Udupi, Dec 25: School-going children should be made aware of the consumer rights and responsibilities for their safe future, said in-charge deputy commissioner Prabhakar.
He was speaking after inaugurating the National Consumers' Day observed at Udupi Girls' Pre-university College auditorium here on Friday December 24 jointly organized by district administration, zilla panchayat, food, civil supplies and consumers' department, survey department, district information department and consumers' forum. In one or the other way we are all consumers and are bound to be cheated. We should develop the habit of questioning corruption even if the goods are of small amount.
Zilla panchayat chief executive officer N Rajashekar presided.
Advocate P R Bhandarkar and district information officer M Junjanna among others were present.
