Bangalore, Dec 24: Addressing a press conference in the city on Thursday December 23, member of BJP national executive, Dr Vamanacharya, asked the state Governor to stop making allegations against the government for creating doubts in the minds of the people, and instead, use the authority he has with him to entrust whatever allegations he has been making, for proper investigation.

Claiming that the state Governor, H R Bhardwaj, has not been sincere in his working, he alleged that when the former was the law minister at the centre, Bharadwaj has facilitated Ottavio Quattrocchi, who had been accused of being the middleman in the Bofors scandal, to withdraw huge funds from a bank in London. He also charged Bhardwaj of having played a role in getting the red corner alert issued against Quattrocchi cancelled.

“The Governor has been trying to destabilize the state government. He had also exceeded the legal norms in the case of appointment of vice chancellors to Vishweshwaraiah Technological University, Karnataka State Open University, and Karnataka University,” he added. Vamanacharya also said that the Governor had appointed a commission agent named Ashok Sharma.
