Mangalore: Police Net Fake Dollar-maker

Mangalore, Dec 23: South police sub-inspector K K Ramakrishna and staff during their patrol found a person suspiciously wandering near the service bus stand on Wednesday December 22 at 4.30 pm carrying two suitcases. As doubt mounted on his behaviour police interrogated him and found that his name is Simon Machado (63), a fake dollar-makerresident of Vahab compound, Gorigudda 3rd cross, Mangalore and permanet address Shivabagh, first cross, Kadri.

In his two suitcases, one was filled with his clothes while another with a metal box. Inside that box there were 50 bundles of paper cuttings. When police asked about the process of converting them as currencies, he said those black coloured papers could be converted as American dollars after it is washed through chemicals in a dark room.

He revealed that he had the intention of deceiving people by selling them through showcasing it as American dollar manufacturing device.

It was found that he had already cheated many people with such trick.
